Details :- HE530 was attacked by a night fighter , with the starboard engine damaged and lost, fire in the bomb bay and in the rear of the aircraft, the controls were also jammed so the order to bale out was given. HE530 crashed at 00:58 10km East South East of Meppel, Holland. Sgt Latham's body being found near the wreckage. | ||||||
