  Details :- HX231 was shot down by night-fighter , crashing 1km North of Maxsain. Hptm. Heinz-Martin Hadeball was himself shot-down later during the raid.  
                 
  846 aircraft including 246 Halifax aircraft of which 12 were lost, including HX231, LV827 and LW369 from 466 Squadron.  
                 
  Those who died were buried in Maxsain before being re-buried in Rheinberg War Cemetery in 1949.  
     
  F/S Bray - PoW number is 3565 in camps L6/L4.  
  F/S Wilson - PoW number is 3280 in camps L6/357.  
  Sgt Wooldridge - PoW number 3281 in camps L6/357.
