Details :- HX231 was shot down by night-fighter , crashing 1km North of Maxsain. Hptm. Heinz-Martin Hadeball was himself shot-down later during the raid. | ||||||||

Those who died were buried in Maxsain before being re-buried in Rheinberg War Cemetery in 1949. | ||||||||
