  Details :- NP968 crashed at Ippensen, approx 28 miles South West of Hamburg about 22:00 after being shot by a Ju88G, NP968 caught fire and shortly after, exploded in the air.  
                 
  F/O Forrest was buried in Sittensen Cemetery before being re-buried in Hannover War Cemetery after the war.  
         
  Sgt Frankal is alleged to have been buried in Sittensen Cemetery but after the war no sign of the buriel could be found and so is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.  
       
  The engine numbers on NP968 were :- Starboard Outer - SS232257/A425533, Starboard Inner - SS31603/A461525, Port Inner - SS17521/A386501, Port Outer - SS30308/A461230.
